That’s how many people participated in the Revlon 5K Run/Walk at the LA Memorial Coliseum on Saturday.
In comparison, the London Marathon (one of the world’s largest marathons, along with NY) had 36,000 runners this year, and Atlanta’s Peachtree 10K (still the world’s largest race) will have 55,000 in 2007.

Luckily, the Griffith Park fire is now relatively under control, but not before it did some major damage. Many popular trails and landmarks were destroyed, but firefighters managed to save all nearby homes, plus the Greek Theater, Observatory, LA Zoo, the Carousel, and Traveltown.
