Biggest 100 miler
Ok…I count 580 entrants for this year’s Leadville, which happens to be celebrating its 25th Anniversary. That’s a lot of people. I can’t imagine any other race past/present that can top that. I wonder how many will finish.

The North Face Ultra Tour du Mont Blanc 164 km (100 m) race in Europe caps their entries at 2500 runners. For six hours I was always within 10 feet of the runner in front of me and the runner behind me.
Last year about 1/2 the field finished.

Wow! Didn’t they have a limit of 400 in years and even closed in for a couple of years in a raw?
