DART/NUUN wins Baja Travesia

60 hours and 35 mins, covering 350Km — Cyril Jay-Rayon, Aaron Rinn, and Jen Segger paddled in to San Felipe for another win.  The rest of the teams are about another 24 hours away.

Baja Travesia Underway

Teams have made it through to CP1 already.  My friends from Kayak Lake Mead (Robert, Druce, and Brianna — father/son/daughter) were first to arrive along with Team Stride.  Shortly after, reigning champs DART/NUUN came in — they will be one of the teams to watch.

Couple more AR’s to watch…

Lots of competitors will be adventure racing this weekend.
First off this weekend, it’s Adventure Xstream’s Moab 12 hour race — teams to watch Nike (without Ian Adamson), Nike ACG, and Salomon Crested Butte. Watch live updates on Checkpoint Tracker. Also, during the awards, the raffle prizes for Danelle’s fund-raiser will be announced.

Spanish Expedition Race Begins Tomorrow

The Bimbache Extrem, a 450K expedition adventure race taking place near the city of Cordoba will start tomorrow.  Winners are expected to finish in about 60-70 hours, with the slower teams taking as much as 100+.  My friend Bernice Pierson is the captain of Feed the Machine, the only US team represented in this race.
